You’re here! You’ve arrived, welcome to my first blog post. I’m going to make these a monthly thing, giving you ‘the reader’ some insight into what goes on here at PC Paramedics along with news and announcements! Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m PC Paramedics Digital Marketer. I’ve been with the IT Support Service company for half a year now and a great half a year at that! In that time, I have begun to manage Project Apollo. Which is the project name for the new office renovations. Quirky- I know.
So, how did this project come about?
Well, I’m sure you know our lovely Director Paul. He started PC Paramedics on a singular office desk all the way back in 2005 before moving out onto Norton Canes industrial estate however we didn’t really fit in amongst the garages and factories. Paul always wanted to move out of the small office to be somewhere more suited to the company. Somewhere clients could come and visit for more interactions and benefit even more from the IT Support packages we provide!
From the depths of the Norton Canes office in 2018 Paul and the team curated Project Apollo. This was to be the major move the company needed. The first step? Finding the right office to transform. Paul spent many long hours exploring the internet to find an office fit for the team, he looked round plenty of potential HQ’s too, until eventually our perfect place turned out to be just around the corner! The carpet was old, the room was damaged, and it needed a lot of TLC but it was no challenge to big.
And so, the work began! I started by putting together some mood boards, so we could envision what it was we wanted. There were many debates on carpet colour, wall paper pattern, a glass wall and even a metal slide through the floor! (Paul’s idea, obviously) It’s safe to say we didn’t opt for the slide due to health and safety purposes but still stuck with a quirky theme throughout. We wanted something with a bit of wow factor.
What’s going on in there currently?
Now we have work men going in and out of the office daily! They’re all working extremely hard in preparation for the decorating and transformation. The skips are filling up, walls are being plastered ready for the art work and the room is being developed into the masterpiece we envisioned it to be. As you can see in the image the room is currently inundated with dust and hanging wires! Even though you can see a desk, nobody’s sitting there just yet – thank goodness!
We’re working closely with some great companies to ensure that the new office will be perfect but of course there have been many hurdles along the way. It’s very hard to picture a shiny new office when there are wires hanging down from every angle and a hole in the ceiling! Not quite the dream office we had in mind! Despite the mishaps we’re managing to overcome and get past them.
We’ve had painters in, graffiti artists, carpet fitters, glass wall experts and furniture enthusiasts all to make the office exactly how we envisioned. I’ve seen enough Banksy inspired wall art, glass wall quotes and fabric colours to last me a life time but it’s all worth it. We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with pictures on the progress but for now sit tight and prepare for a brand new re-vamped PC Paramedics.it.
We’ll be announcing our grand opening date very soon so please keep an eye out on our social media!
